I find it fascinating how a smell or a sound can bring you right back to somewhere or bring back a memory. A perfume of someone you like, or something that brings you back to another country you went to some years ago. The funny thing is that it just happens automatically, and sometimes you don't really know why it does that.
But it's nice, if you have good associations with the memory, to think back and remember what happened, the atmosphere or the setting.
